Happy Easter

big chocs unmoulded-5372

Above, taking the plunge with large easter moulds…very tricky – I used white chocolate on the detail and chocolate for the rest (all dairy free by Sweet William)

rice choco-5370

I made some rice chocolate using rice puffs and dairy free chocolate – these turned out quite tasty!

strawberry hedgehogs-5366

Strawberry hedgehogs, dipped in white chocolate and chocolate chips (all dairy free by Sweet William)

truffles-5362

Some examples of the white chocolate and chocolate truffles I made, with a few sultanas for garnish.

This year I decided to be a bit more adventurous with the Easter treats for my dairy allergic son; you can see the results above.  For some reason things taste better when they look different to the norm, and when they are packaged in gold foil!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! you have a lot of chocolate on this page. Monkey has just licked the screen. On a serious note we know someone who has a dairy allergy so this will really help! thank you

Hi Monkeyandmillie, you are very welcome and Happy Easter! It least you won’t get a chocolate overload from licking a screen: ) Just for the record our little man didn’t eat the lot it is more about presenting a range of delight that will be slowly enjoyed over the next few weeks (hard concept for a 5 year old!). Even with allergies you can enjoy life! xx

teehee You really did a good job of showing that allergies don’t mean less fun! The treats you made look soo nice! its a clever idea to do this as children with allergies might think they miss out on the fun. Thanks for your funny reply! I’ve told monkey off for licking and have now wiped the screen clean so i can read more of your blog xx https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/?notes_iframe#
